²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵAPP served as Construction Manager for the first-floor renovation of the former Bangor Daily News Building, which resulted in new office space for the Cross Insurance Headquarters.
Project Details
- Removed old floor topping on warehouse floor
- Placed a new topping slab
- Installed two gas-fired boilers
- Installed mechanical systems consisting of four-pipe fan coil units
Lean, Innovative and Unique Project Solutions
Removal of an existing concrete vault, which had eight-inch-thick walls and roof, was a challenge on this project. Additionally, the project faced unforeseen conditions including the need for the aged building’s existing and leaking piping to be replaced as well as the need for the damaged existing sanitary line under the slab to be removed and for the pipe and the slab to be replaced.
